Under the 1987 Montreal Protocal on substances that deplete the ozone layer, the production of halons identified as ozone-depleting compounds was banned. It is now an offence to possess a halon extinguisher, they are required to be sent to an authorised disposal agent with the facilities and expertise to recover or destroy the halon.

If you do have a halon extinguisher or any extinguishers no longer allowed under the British Standards (i.e plastic heads, rivets, any of the extinguishers within the images) please contact us and we can arrange for it to be disposed of appropriately.
