When a fire extinguisher has been used it needs to be refilled. This would involve replacing the chemicals contained inside and pressurisation. We would recommend you check all your extinguishers on site at least weekly, to guard against malicious or accidental tampering. Under no circumstances should you “test” the extinguisher to see if it works. This will release the pressurisation and disable the extinguisher.
